The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) provides financial assistance to graduate students in Ontario, Canada. This merit-based scholarship is funded by both the Province of Ontario and the University of Toronto.
Scholarship Details:
- Duration: Up to six years.
- Restrictions: Cannot be held concurrently with any other government-funded scholarship. Applicants must not exceed the maximum lifetime support limit from government funding.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have a student study permit visa within the framework of a temporary resident visa.
- Must be enrolled in or plan to enroll in a program for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Benefits:
- Each academic session awards Rs 4,17,068 for one year.
- If there are three academic sessions in a year, the total award can reach up to Rs 12,51,204, depending on your program.
Required Documents:
- 10+2 mark sheet.
- Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions.
- Records of previous awards, publications, conference participation, and research experience.
- Plan of Study (Maximum 2 pages: 1 page for the plan, 1 page for references/citations).
- Two academic references (referees must submit their references online).
