Acuity Care Group is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced individual with strong leadership qualities to join their Learning Disability and Autism (LDA) Division as a Team Leader. About the Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual in Birmingham. You will support a young person with a mild learning disability, narcolepsy, and cataplexy. Your responsibilities will include assisting with medical, personal care, and daily tasks. This role requires both independent work and teamwork, with shifts ensuring round-the-clock care.

Main Duties

  • Oversee a fantastic team, providing excellent communication and support.
  • Serve as a role model, embedding Person-Centred practices.
  • Uphold exemplary standards of professional practice and behaviors.
  • Manage people effectively with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Stay organized and proficient in IT.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards enhancing people’s lives.
  • Be approachable and empathetic to individuals’ needs and communication difficulties.
  • Remain calm and responsive in potentially stressful situations.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in health and social care.
  • Previous experience supervising staff.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and challenging behaviors.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the ability to identify safeguarding issues.
